Bye Bye Bland Book Launch

Finally after two years in the making, my book, Bye Bye Bland was launched in the beautiful Spence & Lyda showroom in Surry Hills, Sydney on 24 June.

There were more than 60 attendees who enjoyed a magnificent grazing table by Figmint Catering, accompanied by French bubbles and fine wine. Babette Hayes spoke eloquently on why Bye Bye Bland is different to other books on decorating and I talked about the inspiration for the book and how the reader is taken on a colour journey.

If you’re interested in grabbing yourself a copy of Bye Bye Bland, you can do so by CLICKING HERE! I will even personally sign your book too.
If you missed out on the event, never fear as it was expertly captured on video and with photos by IsaBelle Photography. So you can sit back and enjoy the launch, in the comfort of your own surroundings, as if you were there too.

ABOUT THE BOOK

We live surrounded by colour. We breathe it, walk it, eat it, ingest it, feel it, love it, hate it, revere it and dream it. We experience colour as an ever-present and powerful component of our lives.Yet its power to affect us is underestimated. More often than not, people don’t understand its impact in their day-to-day lives and its effect on their psyche and wellbeing.

This means what should be an exciting, joyful process – the experience of creating a home, decorating a room, choosing the ‘right’ colours for a colour scheme – can be paralysing.

When done with fear – ‘I might make a mistake’, ‘What will people think?’ – the results tend to be ‘bland’, ‘safe’ and lacking that essential quality that makes a home sparkle, with rooms that sooth, calm or stimulate and make you feel joyful.

Bye Bye Bland – How To Create Sensational Spaces Using Colour is an inspirational book, carefully designed to imbue readers with the know-how, confidence and understanding to achieve their decorating goals, and freeing them to fully express themselves and bring the joy of colour into their lives.

Well done, Judith, your readers will love you and thank you for it.
